How it works
Two races. One champion.
Every racer gets two full races. Both races count toward the Season Ender category result. Two races. Both count. Lowest score wins Sunday. YDCS series champions are decided separately, using your existing season points plus one doubled Sunday result.
- 1
Race 1
Put down your first result. Your finishing position becomes your points score. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 3 points, and so on through the field.
- 2
Race 2
Do it again. Your finishing position in Race 2 is added to your Race 1 score. Race 2 is not a final. Both races have equal value.
- 3
Lowest score wins
Add your two finishing positions together. The rider with the lowest combined score wins the category. If there’s a tie, the rider with the better finish in Race 2 takes the higher overall position.

YDCS Champions
Series champions will be crowned at this event.
The Season Ender decides two different things: who wins Sunday in your category, and who wins the York Durham Crit Series for the season. Those are scored differently. Read both.
Sunday category champion
Race 1 place plus Race 2 place. Lowest combined score wins the Season Ender in your category. This is the day’s result only. Example: 3rd in Race 1 and 2nd in Race 2 is 5 points.
YDCS series champion
Your existing weekly series points stay on the board. Sunday adds one more series result on top of that total. The rider with the highest series points after Sunday is the category series champion.
- 1
Both Sunday races become one series result
You race twice on Sunday, but the series treats the day as one race. Your two finishes are combined into one overall placing for the day. That one placing is what earns series points. You do not get a separate series-points award for Race 1 and another for Race 2.
- 2
That one result is worth double a weekly race
A normal weekly race awards 15 series points for 1st, 12 for 2nd, 10 for 3rd, and so on through 10th. Sunday uses the same scale, doubled. Overall 1st on Sunday is 30 series points. Overall 2nd is 24. Overall 3rd is 20. Outside the top 10 still receives no series placing points.
- 3
The doubled total is added once to your season points
If you already have series points from earlier races, Sunday adds that one doubled total to what you already have. It does not replace your season total, and it is not counted twice.
| Overall place | Weekly series points | Sunday series points |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 15 | 30 |
| 2nd | 12 | 24 |
| 3rd | 10 | 20 |
| 4th | 8 | 16 |
| 5th | 6 | 12 |
| 6th | 5 | 10 |
| 7th | 4 | 8 |
| 8th | 3 | 6 |
| 9th | 2 | 4 |
| 10th | 1 | 2 |
Example: you have 28 series points going into Sunday and finish 3rd overall after both races. Weekly 3rd is 10 points, so Sunday 3rd is 20. Your new series total is 28 + 20 = 48. You do not also receive 10 points for Race 1 and 10 for Race 2.
